The Slovak National Collection of Wine 2011 is a competition to select wines produced in the Slovak Republic from grapes that have also been grown here. It is organized as the final competition to which wines are nominated from a series of qualifying contests. In 2011 there will be 17 such nominating competitions.

The competition is organized by the Grape and Wine Union of Slovakia, which also sets the rules.

Wines are entered in the following categories: still dry white wines; still semi-dry and semi-sweet white wines; still dry, semi-dry and semi-sweet rosé wines; still dry red wines; still semi-dry and semi-sweet red wines; still naturally sweet wines; sparkling wines; and Tokaj wines.

The results are decided according to a 100-point-based judging system. The outcome, the annual Slovak National Collection of Wine, is a representative selection of the best Slovak wines. The collection is held for one year (starting in September) in the cellars of Pezinok castle, where it is made available for members of the public to visit and taste.
